When devices like a PLC are added the communication to the device is managed by the program using generic signal naming conventions. The user can rename signals in the system across devices to provide a uniform engineering naming convention.

If you are automating a vacuum system, a very wide range of vacuum system components are included with the full license version of software. When you use Fastmatics compatible devices all that is required is a click of a mouse to add all of the signals and drivers to run the devices. Once added, all of the device functions are available through the setting and reading of signals from the system common IO Database. Fastmatics has built in drivers that are compatible with numerous industry standard devices such as MKS, CTI, Granville Phillips, Inficon, Animatics, Anaheim, Brooks Robot, Shimadzu, VAT Valves, Omron, and of course our robust PLC.
